System Anatomy

Two systems. One turnkey install.

We don't sell pieces. The Homestead system pairs a whole-home softener with point-of-use reverse osmosis — engineered to work together and priced as one.

01

High-Capacity Resin Tank

1 cu. ft. fine-mesh resin — removes hardness (Ca/Mg) up to 40 gpg, sized for Edmonton water.

02

0.0001 Micron RO Membrane

Four-stage reverse osmosis — strips dissolved solids, chlorine, lead, and microplastics.

03

Smart Metered Valve

On-demand regeneration. Tracks usage, regenerates only when needed — low salt, low water.

04

Polished Chrome RO Faucet

Lead-free, dedicated drinking spout mounted at the sink. Air-gap, NSF-certified.

Edmonton Hardness Data

Edmonton water is hard.
Yours doesn't have to be.

Most Edmonton-area water measures 12–32 grains per gallon — well into the "hard" to "very hard" range. The Homestead system brings your whole home down to below 1 gpg: genuinely soft.

A high-capacity 1 cu. ft. water softener with a smart metered valve, a four-stage under-counter reverse osmosis system with a lead-free chrome faucet, all plumbing connections, calibration to your measured hardness, the first salt fill, and full cleanup. It also includes dedicated iron and manganese removal and a sediment pre-filter, because we build for country homes on a well or cistern.

There is one published price — $3,795, turnkey and fully installed — and no salesperson who can move it. There is no upsell tier, no premium membrane, no 'today only' discount. The one exception is non-standard plumbing work: relocating a main line, adding a dedicated drain, or a panel upgrade. If your home needs that, we quote it in writing before anyone starts, and you are free to walk away owing nothing.

A typical install takes about four hours, and no — there is no assessment visit beforehand. You pick a date, a licensed plumber arrives, installs the system, and you pay on completion. Nobody comes to your house ahead of time to sit at your table and talk you into something bigger.

Yes, and it's a different package rather than a different quote. Well and cistern water in this region is usually both harder and carrying iron, which a softener alone handles badly. Every $3,795 system includes a dedicated iron and manganese filter and a sediment pre-filter, published up front so you're not finding out about it on install day.

Components carry a limited lifetime warranty. We offer annual check-ups, salt delivery options, and a real local number with a human on the other end.
